Feeling The Unseen
Everything in the universe is made up of energy, and that by manipulating this energy, we can improve our health, wellbeing, and spiritual growth.
One form of energy work is qigong, which is a traditional Chinese practice that combines gentle movements, meditation, and breathing techniques to cultivate and balance the body's energy. In qigong, the practitioner works with a concept called "qi" or "chi," which is the life force energy that is believed to flow through the body's energy pathways or meridians.
One of the basic meditations in qigong involves bringing your awareness to your hands and feeling the energy that flows between them. This practice is often referred to as "energy ball" or "sensing hands." Here are some basic steps for this practice:
Begin by standing or sitting in a comfortable position with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Bring your hands together in front of you, palms facing each other, with a slight space between them.
Slowly move your hands back and forth, feeling the energy between them. You may feel a magnetic or tingling sensation, or a warm or cool feeling.
As you continue to move your hands, try to sense the energy ball getting bigger and stronger.
You can also try moving the energy ball to different parts of your body, or visualizing it expanding and contracting.
By practicing this meditation regularly, you may be able to develop your sensitivity to the subtle energies of the body and the astral realm.
